The RoleAs a Bookkeeper your will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Working closely with the finance team, you will handle day-to-day bookkeeping tasks and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.
This is a part-time role working on-site at our office in Martinez on average 15 hours a week.
A Few Key
Responsibilities:
Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies as needed.
Generate customer invoices and track accounts receivable.
Record day-to-day financial transactions in the general ledger.
Maintain accurate records of income and expenses.
Prepare journal entries and adjustments as necessary.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
Identify and investigate any discrepancies or unusual transactions.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Generate ad-hoc financial reports as requested by management.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records for audit purposes.
Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities.
What You BringBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with biotech or life sciences industry (preferred but not required).

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Martinez, Ca is $26.
