Product Manager

Description: The Product Manager facilitates, oversees, and supports implementation of National project activities. Responsible for supporting and facilitating all National, Regional and Area P & S cost savings goals, managing supply cost and utilization, implementing best practices to ensure compliance with all Procurement & Supply (P&S) agreements for medical supplies and equipment.  Area responsibility includes leading cross functional teams in all departments within the hospital and medical offices, partnering with relevant groups as necessary (i.e. Patient Care Services/Nursing, Physician Groups, Quality, Clinical Technology, etc). Essential Responsibilities: Supports National Procurement & Supply and Area goals. Manages and facilitates through project teams, independent area as well as National (as appropriate) adherence to annual P & S contract spend, ranging in the billions of dollars category. Identifies and implements product savings to achieve annual savings targets. Compliance monitoring, analyzing, and reporting to achieve established compliance targets to all P & S agreements. Implements all agreements within established timeframe goal to maximize cost savings. Manages Medical Product Formulary exception process. Assists in reducing overall supply cost through analyzing product use and making recommendations to change product or implement best practices. Conducts and facilitates National and Area product evaluations. Consults on National Sourcing and Standard Teams (SST). Works closely with P & S Sourcing Directors to manage, implement, and enforce compliance to all agreements. Takes a lead role in managing all activities to effectively implement all agreements including: collaborate, influence and negotite cross-functionally with other appropriate personnel to ensure that product management plans incorporate inputs, timetables, and resources from various key stakeholders. Ensures that a comprehensive project plan exists for all key initiatives (within own area as well as Nationally as necessary)and routinely updates project scorecards and timelines to communicate plan status and operational readiness.   Facilitates education and inservice. Supports annual supply cost savings goals of Supply Management Action Team (SMAT) by consulting, communicating, and implementing recommendations. Works with physicians and management providing key information necessary to influence product use, enforce standards, and control spend. Conducts research into and recommends corrective action for supplier and product issues. Supports physicians and other health care provider peer groups in standardization efforts. Conducts appropriate analysis to evaluate practice patterns. Ensures excellent customer satisfaction levels are maintained. Actively participates and presents information to key committees including Executive Leadership Teams, National Supply Chain Leadership Team, Regional Perioperative Peer Group, Area Product Councils, Environmental Stewardship Committee, and others as appropriate. Partners with Executive Leadership to identify and achieve cost savings and implement crucial work place and patient safety initiatives. Basic Qualifications: Experience Minimum five (5) years of experience in combination of material management or other related areas, including previous experience with material management operations and systems. Education Bachelor's degree in business administration, nursing background and/or certification, finance, material management, economics or related field; OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.  High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
