The following duties will be performed. They include but are not limited to:
Utilizes office automation equipment for the daily input and retrieving of data associated with timekeeping. Validates time cards daily. Preparation and processing of all correspondence. Assists in developing the annual service budget. Maintains staffing records such as correspondence, reports, memorandums, and other forms of written communication. Edits letters, composes letters and reports, reviews correspondence for accuracy and completeness, prepares public presentation outlines, and develops standard or formal letters and replies to inquiries. Relays instructions to staff, collects information, and prepares collaborative replies to correspondence or reports. Reviews correspondence and written material for technical and substantive compliance with management and department policies for grammatical accuracy. Prepares the agenda for Supervisory Staff meetings and records minutes for monthly meetings. Schedules interviews for internal and external applicants for positions within the service. Schedules appointments, coordinates meetings, and/or schedules conferences for the supervisors. Based on the subject matter, arranges for meeting and small conference administrative details. Independently notes items for follow up from meetings and takes actions to resolve issues. Oversees the maintenance of all office equipment. Orders office supplies and obtains and monitors their use, storage, par levels, and reordering. Basic trouble shooting of computer software and hardware issues, entering help desk tickets for computer software/hardware and telephone issues, and determines the appropriate computer access for all employees within the service. Initiates user access forms for all new employees within the service and updates the forms as needed. Verifies accuracy of the access given (Vista and Mail Groups) and reviews User Access Forms and Vista access for all employees within the service to ensure the appropriate access is held. Training users with the service on the use of VISTA, VATAS, and TMS to include training completion, submitting leave, and overall function use. Full ADPAC duties. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note:

Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
knowledge of VA office automation, knowledge of VA policies and program goals, ability to coordinate work within various departments, knowledge of general user skills related to office hardware such as printers, scanners, etc., ability to train users, ability to solve hardware related problems, and skills in interpersonal relationships You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
