Established in 1975, Contra Costa Family Medicine Residency (CCFMR) is a UCSF-affiliated, 13-13-13 program with a national reputation for excellence in training full spectrum family physicians.
We emphasize acute care, reproductive health, ambulatory continuity care, and overall full spectrum family medicine caring for diverse and underserved communities.
Our unique teaching model prioritizes learning by fostering resident autonomy through collaboration and mentorship.
We value strong faculty-resident mentorship and cultivate a work environment that prioritizes diversity, equity and inclusion.
Core residency faculty will devote 40% time to clinical work without residents; 30% time to direct teaching/supervision; and 30% time to residency administration.
Positions are 40 hours per week.
Specific designation of hours will be made in conjunction with Program Director to meet program needs and regulatory standards.
Duties will consist of attending weekly faculty meetings; teaching - clinical and didactic; acting as liaisons to clinical departments; evaluating and supervising curriculum; serving in an advisor role for assigned residents; individual scholarly work and responsibilities related to the following broad administrative categories, as delegated by the program director.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have an MD or DO degree, be certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and have or obtain a valid California medical license; have previous experience in teaching and/or residency administration; have a commitment and desire to work with underserved populations as well as diverse patients, residents and staff; and have demonstrated experience and commitment to diversity, equity, mentorship and community engagement.
Candidates with at least two years of residency faculty and/or teaching experience preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
